Kim’s award winning vocals are backed by Daniel on keyboard, melodica and bass clarinet, Mark on bass and Kim’s guitar. (Mark and Dan are bald under those hats, hence the name!)
Kim Plender is a South Dakota Country girl who loves singing classic country as well as old time Rock and Roll. In 2017 she recorded a CD, These Are a Few Of My Favorite Things. Her CD has been awarded Classic Country Female CD of the Year for 2017, by the Rural Roots Music Commission and in 2018 it was awarded CD of the Year by The South Dakota Country Music Hall of Fame.
She is the Worship Minister at Black Hawk Community Church and has two bands: Buffalo Grass (a 5 piece band that performs many genres of music using bluegrass instruments along with beautiful harmonies) and Kim and the Cue Balls (a 3 piece band that performs mostly classic country and old time Rock and Roll). She also performs in about a dozen senior homes, regularly, in the Rapid city area, on a volunteer basis, as a way to give back to those who’ve gone before us.
